As warmer weather arrives, many of our classrooms has been focusing on themes like gardening, bugs, and spring. Students have been diving into nature-themed explorations, engaging in spring-themed science experiments. They are observing the fascinating life cycles of plants and butterflies, learning how to care for our planet, and watching ants build their homes through classroom ant farms. The students (and staff!) have been enjoying being back on the playground, enjoying the warmer weather, and dandelions growing in the grass.
This month, the Early Childhood Center received garden boxes, generously donated by GardenWorks Project! Along with the beds, the organization provided soil and a variety of seeds to get us started. We are thrilled to begin this hands-on gardening journey. We can’t wait to see our vegetables sprout, grow, and eventually flourish—what a meaningful way to connect with nature and learn where our food comes from!
